If you love working with people in need of mental health support then you will be a great fit here at AOBB, Inc. All field workers are generally independent contractors, these positions can work hours that best fit your personal time schedule. All workers are expected to adhere to all local MCO, state, and federal laws and policies relating to mental and behavioral health. Direct Care Support (DCS) Specialist: (Day Activity, B3 Respite, and Peer Support):
(NOW HIRING, ASAP)
A Direct Care Support specialist (Day Activity, B3 Respite, and Peer Support) is a person who typically provides services for families and individuals looking to improve their overall quality of life. This person works independently, with an individual receiving IDD or mental health treatment.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
Aids individuals with developmental disabilities in their own homes/programs and the community to function more safely and independently. Facilitates physical, recreational, social, and educational activities. Provides individuals with a positive role model.
Identifies social, economic, recreational, and educational services in the community that will meet individuals’ needs, Maintains liaison with other agencies, professionals, government officials, and the community.
Assists AOBB's case management team in identifying potential problems. Provides input to counselors and other professionals concerning the development of individual program plans.
Monitors individuals’ well-being. Assists clients with daily life skills and/or behavior management training.
Assists clients with basic needs and skills to maintain their independence.
Flexible work hours (hours are established based on you and the consumer's day and time)
You will receive training if this is your first time working in this industry/position.
Job Types: Independent Contractors
Pay: $10.00 - $16.00 per hour

Direct Care Support (DCS) Specialist: (Alternative Family Living Provider (AFL)):
(NOW HIRING, ASAP)
An AFL Provider is another type of DCS specialist. AFL Provider is a provider that opens his or her home to individuals looking to improve their overall quality of life. Your assigned consumer would live at your home while being going through his or her treatment plan. This is one of the most rewarding positions and has the most impact on those being treated for a disorder.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
Assist clients in articulating personal goals for recovery
Support clients in identifying and achieving goals and develop at home living skills
Provide a safe, drug-free, and loving place to live while undergoing mental health treatment

Licensed Mental Health Therapist:
(NOW HIRING, ASAP)
Currently seeking an on-site LCSW, LPC, and LCAS professionals in the Charlotte and Gastonia area. Mental health professionals are needed to provide outpatient therapy, counseling, and intervention services to clients. Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Providing emotional and mental health counseling to groups or individuals in person
Providing emotional and mental health counseling to groups or individuals online (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc.)
The administration of certain social programs such as Child Welfare
Building a strong rapport with clients and making accurate assessments of their problems whether mental/emotional or physical in the case of substance abuse
Keeping detailed and concise records of each patient during the course of their treatment
Consultation with physicians, medical professionals, and therapists when appropriate
Performing research tasks within a clinical setting
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, In-person, Remote, Contract (Independent Contractor)
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

To keep our consumers and staff safe we are doing remote sessions via telehealth. We also do in-person masks, hand sanitizers, and cleaning after each visit to promote a healthier and safe environment during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Qualified Professional (QP):
(NOW HIRING, ASAP)
The Qualified Professional will be an independent professional with supervisory tasks, provide services to assigned recipients, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. The desired candidate will be self-motivated with minimal need for supervision to complete the day-to-day tasks and meet deadlines. The Qualified Professional will be responsible for documentation in a professional and timely manner. Understand and follow Policies and Procedures. Conduct and document clinical and employee supervisory visits to ensure Medicaid and ASM Policies/Procedures are followed.
Currently seeking Qualified Professional (QP) in the Gastonia Area. Job duties include, but are not limited to:
The Qualified Professional will be experienced in supervising direct care staff. Conduct annual performance evaluations and direct staff development plans, conduct disciplinary meetings /documentation with direct care staff. Ensure assigned direct care staff records are current. Ensure staffing patterns are covered and backup staff is available. Review and update task analysis per recipient's goal frequency. Schedule direct care staff/contractors to provide direct care. Understand and follow Policies and Procedures. Conduct and document clinical and employee supervisory visits to ensure Medicaid and ASM Policies/Procedures are followed.
Hours must comply with service authorizations and waiver limitations.
The Qualified Professional must work independently and meet deadlines. Review assigned participant's service/grid notes in a timely manner. Review all verification/documentation of services for appropriate signatures and
documentation per the NC DHHS Records Management and Documentation Manual. Ensure assigned direct care staff records are current and assigned service recipient clinical records are current. Resolve and document recipient/guardian grievances and report to Supervisor. Ensure client-specific training is completed for every recipient/staff relationship. Review weekly billing to ensure hours are used or complete deviation of service forms.
The desired candidate will participate and advocate for the recipient in the recipient's ISP meetings. Develop individualized short-term goals, task analysis, and interventions for assigned recipients. Complete recipient's annual skills and preference assessments (as applicable). Ensure all RDSPs are completed (as applicable). Complete recipient's annual skills and preference assessments (as applicable). Complete TARs (as applicable) in Provider Direct before annual ISP.
Review and update task analysis per recipient's goal frequency. Assist the recipient and families with finding and procuring appropriate resources and services in the community.
The QP will participate in required staff meetings, enter goals into On Target, and complete quarterly progress reports.
Complete significant event and incident reports within 24 hours (recipient and employee/contractor)
Other training and certifications may be required after being employed to meet NC-DHHS and Federal requirements. All other training is provided by AOBB.
Office and Work Agenda:
Supervisor: AOBB director/manager/clinical coordinator or site manager
Caseload: Varies
Work Hours: This is a full-time, per-week position.
Work hours are set by the family and consumers' needs, with allowances in scheduling to be available to meet with child and family teams during times and dates convenient for all parties involved (i.e., evenings and weekends).
Additional Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in social work or other related disciplines (Master’s degree preferred)
Certifications (preferred)
Proof of valid North Carolina Driver's License (Type C)
Access to reliable transportation
Proof of valid/current auto insurance
Three (3) employment references 2 Personal and 1 Professional.
Cleared criminal background check and signed statement regarding felony Indictments/convictions.
Working cellular telephone at all times for on-call and after-hours availability.
